California bans sale, manufacture of fur products from 2023

- California will ban the manufacture and sale of new animal fur products from 2023 after Governor Gavin Newsom signed the bill into law on Saturday.Newsom called the ban “one of the strongest animal rights laws in U.S. history” in a statement. Second-hand fur products are exempt from the ban, as are fur products used by Native American tribes for spiritual or cultural purposes. The ban does not include leather products or taxidermy.

But cow hide, no problem. Cuz beef. How contradictory.

I was at Goodwill yesterday and they were selling a vintage half-length real fox fur coat for $6. I personally wouldn’t wear it if you paid me to.

Can’t do it. Only Congress under the commerce clause can do it.

Not fur sale.

So then they will just haul cow hides to the dump rather than making fru collars and leather goods

I guess all of the hypocrites that live in CA will have to buy their fur in any other American city and fly them home to wear when they go out.
