CaixaBank SA said Thursday that first-quarter net profit plunged as it took a charge related to the coronavirus pandemic that drove its earnings lower. The Spanish bank posted net profit of 90 million euros ($97.7 million) for the quarter compared with EUR533 million a year earlier. Analysts had forecast a quarterly profit of EUR368 million, according to a consensus estimate provided by the bank.
