Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg predicted that supply chain issues facing the US will continue into 2022.

"Certainly a lot of the challenges that we've been experiencing this year will continue into next year. But there are both short-term and long-term steps that we can take to do something about it," Buttigieg told CNN's Jake Tapper on"State of the Union." "Look, part of what's happening isn't just the supply side, it's the demand side. Demand is off the charts," he added.

Nobody needed him to announce that, that was pretty much common sense. That's what useless beaurocrats do though, they dress up in a suit while existing in a job that doesnt actually need to exist and tell everyone the obvious.

cnn ABC NYTIMES WASHINGTONPOST MSNBC CBSNEWS FOXNEWS Reuters Businesses need to considered promoting what they have in stock. Maybe offering deep competitive offers and discounts. To get people in those stores. Online sale will be the 1 profiteers Promote deliveries.

This has never happened in my lifetime before!!!!!!!!!

cnn ABC NYTIMES WASHINGTONPOST MSNBC CBSNEWS FOXNEWS Reuters Well this is also a pre-test for Pete. A man who wanted to be President. How well can he adjust this situation. Citizen need to shop for Christmas starting now! It don't look to good for new stock.

Maybe he should get back to work.

What a genius. Its gonna take till sometime in 2022 just to get ships unloaded that are already parked. Grade 4 kids can figure that out.

Predicted? It will continue because he doesn’t know what he’s doing. The insanity from this administration is truly astonishing. LetsGoBrandon.

He is in so far over his head. So unqualified.

People are not working because they are getting paid for staying at home and no rent... Blame everyone but never take responsibility...

China supplies huge masses of our products. With power outages more & more in China, you better believe, supply chain issues will increase. US transportation Dept. has zero control over China. Inform yourself.

Sure....as long as the Dems are in charge.

We know that…resign.

This happen because of many things. Boomers getting close to retirement retired. That took out a lot of experience. Politics and a corrupt president ruined a response to a pandemic.

Another good reason to get democrats out of politics.

Is that cus he’ll be babysitting til next year instead of working to resolve this?

No one paying attention is surprised. So much for 'Just in Time' warehousing.

maybe if he didnt take 2 months....2 freakin months...off his job, he could done SOMETHING. My wife had 2 c-sections with our babies and took 3 weeks I think it was. This dude adopted a kid

Then get back to work. Maybe you should recommend that these unemployment benefits should not be increased anymore, so people get back to work.

Considering that's only a couple months away, it's not much of a prediction. And really, given how the world has moved at glacial pace to deal with any of the pandemic/economic outfall, is it much of a surprise?

Based on his massive experience? Smh

One of the reasons for the supply chain issue is a lack of workers. Stop giving incentives for people not to work and maybe our logistics problems will be solved 🤷‍♂️.

We would have supply chain issues at the ports if things were made in the USA.

Yeah cause he's been off for the last 2 months!

Resign!

How China ate America's lunch as a distracted U.S. focused on terrorIn 2001, the Bush administration was focused on China and tensions had spiked. But as the U.S. was bogged down fighting Islamist militants in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere after 9/11, China’s economic and military power grew exponentially. Biden’s failed this country on every single front. We must make more navy ships so we can monitor the south China sea. We cannot let the control and regulate trade after they get Taiwan.
