Emmy-winning actor Bryan Cranston reveals plans to retire from acting in a candid new interview. The Breaking Bad icon will next star in Wes Anderson's Asteroid City, featuring a star-studded cast, which will have its wide release on June 23. From there, Cranston is also attached to Matthew Vaughn's spy thriller Argylle and the recently announced drama film Everything's Going To Be Great. But after that point, it sounds like the actor is eying his exit.
I want to change the paradigm once again. For the last 24 years, Robin has led her life holding onto my tail. She’s been the plus one, she’s been the wife of a celebrity. She’s had to pivot and adjust her life based on mine. She has tremendous benefit from it, but we’re uneven. I want to level that out. She deserves it.
Cranston's Legacy As An Actor Cranston is understandably best known for his portrayal of Walter White, a leading role for which he won six Emmys and received 15 nominations. At a time when the trappings of prestige television and anti-hero protagonists were still fresh, Breaking Bad was perhaps the show that captured critical acclaim and eventually grew into a cultural juggernaut.
