Brush fire in Pacific Palisades threatens homes as residents flee

Los Angeles firefighters responded about 10:40 a.m. to a brush fire around 500 N. Palisades Drive. The terrain-driven fire is moving uphill toward homes, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey. The size of the fire has grown to 30 acres, officials said.

The homes threatened were on Charmel Lane, where the fire was running uphill. Some residents fled the neighborhood in cars. Others were out on their decks with garden hoses, trying to protect their homes from advancing flames. Firefighters pulled hoses from trucks into backyards to defend homes. Television images showed residents running from the flames as the fire engulfed a tree in a backyard. At one point a resident quickly drove his car from his garage as flames hit his backyard.A large plume of smoke from the fire blanketed the region and was visible from Los Angeles International Airport.

My question would be, why does the State of Californication want this property? Why would they deliberately burn this land, and with a whole ocean right there to put out the flames ? 😡

There is no excuse for this, and I don't for one minute believe that heat or Climate Change caused it ! This was set on purpose for some sick reason maybe to gain control of the property ! California is doing this a lot, and deliberately allowing these beautiful home's to burn !

With more dry, hot weather I hope they can get this under control
