The Boss and his storied band last performed down San Diego way 42 years ago. Their upcoming concert will be at the same venue, now known as Pechanga Arena. Today will also see Springsteen receive the National Medal of ArtsSpringsteen, 74, announced his decision on social media Wednesday morning, writing: “Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement and support. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.
He also cited “an abundance of caution” and indicated that, on doctor’s advice, he will continue treatment for the rest of the year. It is not yet known exactly when in 2024 he and his band will perform their postponed 2023 concerts. However, rescheduled dates for all of the shows are expected to be announced next week and plans call for all of them to be held at their originally scheduled venues.
Tickets for the postponed shows will be valid at the new ones net year. Ticket-holders who are unable to attend the new dates will have 30 days to request a refund if they made their purchases through official ticketing companies.
