LONDON — British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was moved to the intensive care unit of a London hospital after his coronavirus symptoms worsened Monday, just a day after he was admitted for what were said to be routine tests
Downing St, said Johnson was conscious and does not require ventilation at the moment, but was in the intensive care unit in case he needed it later.Hours earlier, Johnson tweeted that he was in good spirits after spending a night in hospital. “On the advice of my doctor, I went into hospital for some routine tests as I’m still experiencing coronavirus symptoms,″ Johnson said in the tweet. “I’m in good spirits and keeping in touch with my team, as we work together to fight this virus and keep everyone safe.″.
The 55-year-old leader had been quarantined in his Downing Street residence since being diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 26 — the first known head of government to fall ill with the virus. Speaking at the government’s daily coronavirus press briefing, Raab said Johnson was being “regularly updated,” but admitted he had not spoken to him since Saturday.Johnson was admitted to the hospital as a message to the nation from Queen Elizabeth II was being broadcast Sunday evening. The 93-year-old monarch urged the public to show resolve and follow advice to stay inside.
The government said Monday that 51,608 people had been confirmed to have the coronavirus in Britain, 5,373 of whom have died.
Please try Avigan, favipiravir which is Japanese flu medicine. It really works for COVID19 critical condition patient. Japanese Gov't provides it for free. Ask Shinzo Abe.
Good spirits with machine helping him breathe ? Thats what ICU is all about not hes feeling a bit under the weather.
This is terrible news and we must keep politics out of it. In the end, he is a human just like all of us. He is part of a family and I wish him well and a speedy recovery. My prayers to him and his family.

BrookeSingman Many like me are sorry for the Prime Minister and his family. Prayers for him and every patient in intensive care around the world and the loved ones who are worried about them. Most of us are viewing these days from relative safety of our homes. We can help by prayers.
Praying for his recovery
He should ask his buddy send some medication. His buddy is not a doctor, but still has common sense!

Every step of the Fridgeman's care: front page news. People who die of Covid19 outside hospitals: not even counted
That's the guy who didn't want anyone to take special precautions. I guess he had his own ventilator reserved in case he needed it.
Como que 'En cargo' desde UCI, desde ese lugar no se puede gobernar. He estado ahí como paciente y no creo que sea viable
Sorry to hear that. Sending wishes for a speedy and full recovery.
Get well Boris we are praying for you ...fight it mate
Let me see if I understand this BorisJohnson initially wanted COVID19 to quickly burn through his country The idea was based on SurvivalOfTheFittest Once committed to that policy, the contagion quickly grew out of control
Boris Johnson specifically targeted by CCP.
SethAbramson When he was taken to the hospital AFTER 2 weeks of having the virus, i took it as a bad sign. I thought if he’d eventually need intubation. I hate to be right in this instance. Hope he pulls through. Such sad times.
Wish him all the best.
GoldStuart Am not believing this... Undoubtedly ill - BUT not the circs... Cause...
Now do Putin.
my prayers for his quick recovery!
He has access to best care. It is unsettling to hear. Sending strength and positivity for him and also his fiancée. 🌻🌻🌻
OrwellNGoode Boris might kick the bucket
Politics aside, a fellow human being and the leader of a great nation. Today, praying for Mr. Johnson’s speedy and complete recovery. WeAreInThisTogether.
I sincerely hope he does recover but also not gonna hold it against anyone who is laughing at this.
Terrible
Not good. Thoughts and prayers with the PM and his family.
Sad day for British people.
AshleyKingOnAir I’m sure this is Trumps fault. Not sure how, but I know it has to be
This is what happens to people who keep working after they are infected. Watch what happens to Chris Cuomo.
juliettekayyem r-I-g-h-t...
HOPEFULLY, HE RECOVER FROM THE VIRUS BY LISTENING TO THE DOCTORS, STOP WORRYING ABOUT THE JOB, AND LEARN TO REST...
SethAbramson Very few people seem to emerge from the ICU, or off the vent, and live. Ugh.
Last week they told us Johnson was “recovering” or “managing well” .......and then he was admitted. This week we are told the Prime Minister is “in good spirits”. So are we then to extrapolate that the PM is near death?!?!?!?
I hope he recovers. And I hope the people who wish him ill don’t get sick too.
Thankfully they have the Queen to unify & encourage the people of the UK.
Oh mercy
redsteeze Prayers up. And disgusting to see comments liking what's happening to him or wishing this on someone else. Before posting trash, try joining the human race first, ghouls.
Oooh Where our heroes in Movies come and help us Batman BlackPanther ThorLoveAndThunder

INSTEAD OF LISTENING TO THE DOCTOR TO REST BORIS DECIDED TO WORK WHILE IN HOSPITAL BECAUSE APPARENTLY BRITAIN CANNOT FUNCTION WITHOUT HIM... THIS IS HOW NARCISSISTIC ATTENTION SEEKING EGOMANIAC BEHAVE.
Has Boris Johnson and trump been together in the few weeks?
Why isnt he being given HCQ?
Hang in there, Boris!
I pray for him.
SethAbramson The timing of that speech by the Queen yesterday is seeming less and less like a coincidence. Perhaps the 'cat is on the roof'?

BREAKING :-Prime Minister BorisJohnson has been moved to intensive care after his CoronaVirusUpdate symptoms....
A victim of his own incompetent policies... Fuck. Imagine going out like that. At least he's got a good sense of humor
This is not a good sign, first they said he is getting oxygen treatment now this. He will be gone by the end of the week. Out of every 100 patients in intensive care in the UK with coronavirus, only 33 recover. BAD BAD SIGN
SethAbramson Wow.
Our President should go visit him in a show of solidarity and handshakes
