Succession’s Brian Cox says women ask him to say “F*ck off” to them: via DailyMail

As media mogul Logan Roy in the hit TV drama Succession, Brian Cox is the embodiment of toxic masculinity.

But the Scottish star today reveals that even members of the 'Me Too' movement are infatuated with the billionaire bully and plead to be verbally abused by the actor using his show catchphrase.Radio 4's Desert Island Discs how he was approached with the strange request at a recent 'Me Too' book launch organised by actress Rosanna Arquette.

Cox, whose performance won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in January, denies Roy was based on a real- life media mogul. Instead, he says the inspiration for the character was much closer to home He says: 'As it [the meeting] ended I found myself surrounded by a lot of ladies, not all of them, but one or maybe two did ask me… could they video me telling them to F-off [sic]… I said is that really appropriate at a #MeToo meeting?''People kind of love this naked ambition… But at the same time, they go, 'We love to hate him', but actually they love to love him as well.'
