Brennan softball blanks Holmes to clinch 29-6A title

Brennan fought off Holmes with the District 29-6A softball title on the line, beating the Huskies 3-0 on Tuesday evening at the Northside Softball Fields . Brennan junior pitcher Bryannah Campos tossed a shutout, allowing just one hit and striking out seven to help the Bears claim their first district championship since 2016. Campos knew she would get an all-around effort from her teammates and that she would take care of the rest on the mound.

Your free all-access pass to the best high school sports coverage in San Antonio “It was just an easy win,” Campos said. “It was a team effort tonight, and I’m glad that our team scored early and then it just allowed me to do my job on the field for me to have my team back.” Brennan scored in its first at-bat when outfielder Karissa Juarez lifted a triple into left field to score third baseman Breyanna Jones.
