Give credit where credit is due. House of Cards starring Kevin Spacey was the ground breaker on Netflix for more A-list actors signing on to work for the streaming service.
This was really great. I would like applaud Variety for this concept. I think it's really great to see actors talk to each other like this. It provides a glimpse into their world I don't know.
There is still room for both. A majority of movies I can watch from home on netflix . But there are still movies that deserve the full movie theater experience. As the price of tickets goes up, the number of movies I’m willing to watch in the theaters decreases.
Prices are killing going to the theater. Family of 3 with concessions $78. Price turned it into a 1-2 times per year instead of a monthly outing.
Movie industry is killing the movie theater. As with the music industry, that for years abused consumers releasing subpar albums with only one or two songs worth. When technology evolved, people shifted to streaming. Here is the same. Many movies doesn't worth paying a seat.

NetflixFilm didnt kill the theater. Rottten tomatoes & disney ballssucking critics & bloggers have been telling folks not to watch films they deem unworty/unwatchable for years. Neflix is a safe haven for actual film lovers.

Unpopular opinion: I love AdamSandler way mooooore than bradpitt. He is funny, sweet and is just so humble & down to earth. Hoping he sweeps all awards this season!
People will always want an evening out, a chance to mingle with others, have a new experience, meet possible dates & mates, eat popcorn somebody else made. Divorced dads will always need someplace to take the kids on weekends. Movie theaters will survive.
The cinema experience still exists. Theaters have made a load of cash now more than ever. It’s just a battle of what’s worth your 10-15 bucks and if it’s a big deal.

Brad Pitt isn't wrong. Even for the successful shows on Netflix like Stranger Things, their media blitz pales in comparison to a Hollywood film which requires all the usual talkshow circuits PLUS actors to sit in a room and be asked the same gazillion questions by YT interviewers
