STAFF REPORT The Dothan Area Botanical Gardens will offer a variety of hands-on educational programs for kids this summer according to William Holman, Executive Director of the Garden.
People are also reading… In addition to the hands-on programs, a “Story Time in the Garden” will be offered on Thursday mornings, beginning June 20. Designed primarily for pre-kindergarten through second grade, a story book presentation will be held in the Garden’s Michelin Outdoor Classroom. This shaded amphitheater will provide the perfect location for an engaging nature-related story.
Other features of the 47-acre pubic garden includes a rose garden, daylily garden, hydrangea garden, Asian garden, Meditation Garden, and other “pocket gardens”. Visitors can utilize the picnic pavilion for a picnic lunch and kids will enjoy the playground.
