Generation Z may have only been in the workforce for a short time, but they have already made a huge impact on the landscape.
The report warned that, in the eyes of the eldest generation of workers, “if you arrive after the agreed time at all then you are late”.A survey of more than 1000 UK workers found that almost half of those aged between 16 and 26 believe that being between five and 10 minutes late is essentially the same as being on time.For millennials, 40 percent said they were forgiving of colleagues running 10 minutes late, this dropped to 26 percent for Gen X.
“He may have been tardy on a regular basis, but his coffee was made to perfection and the atmosphere was calmer when he was there. He co-ordinated all the orders with finesse, flow, and some fun,” she said. “Businesses now look to a ‘workaround’, a compromise that most importantly keeps their customers and stakeholders happy.”
