Former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback will remain with WFAN.

“I am stepping away from the NFL Today,” he said during “Boomer and Gio” on Monday,. “I really thought the Super Bowl was my swan song. I feel like the way CBS handled us guys out there in Las Vegas, it was amazing.“The NFL Today” on CBS will have a new look this fall as Matt Ryan, the 2016 NFL Most Valuable Player and a four-time Pro Bowl quarterback, now moves to the studio and joins James Brown, Nate Burleson, Bill Cowher and JJ Watt.

Esiason will remain part of the CBS Sports family with the “Boomer and Gio Show” on CBS Sports Network.
