Bond set for suspected getaway driver in Short North mass shooting

Deangelo Fuller turned himself in to police Sunday evening, more than 12 hours after allegedly leaving the scene of the shooting in the 1100 block of North High Street. Court records discovered overnight allege that Fuller drove 60 mph in the wrong direction down a one-way street when he first left the scene. He then got on a nearby highway and evaded officers by driving as fast as 109 mph.

In court Monday, Fuller's bond was set at $100,000 despite a prosecutor's request for it to be set at $1 million. Fuller, a 19-year-old freshman at Hocking College, is not charged in the shooting.It's not clear what prompted the shooting in the first place, but all 10 victims are expected to survive. Two of them were minors.

Police had initially distributed photos of the vehicle believed to have been the one Fuller was driving, and also indicated that a second suspect may have been in the car with Fuller. At the time, the shooter was described only as someone wearing all black clothing. It's still not clear who that person might be.
