) - were scheduling MAX flights in early June. They will now likely have to extend the timeline again. They have said it could take at least 30 days to resume flights following U.S. Federal Aviation Administration approval because of the time needed to ready the planes and train pilots.
The agency is working with other safety regulators to review Boeing’s work and reiterated it has set no time frame for when the review will be completed. Boeing in recent days temporarily halted production of the 737 MAX in Washington state, a move it announced in December as it became clear that regulatory approval was taking longer than it had forecast.
The company faces rising costs from halting production of the plane this month, compensating airlines for lost flights and assisting its supply chain.
What a mess this has been for Boeing
maybe they shouldn't have cut so many corners. I hope they are proud of the hundreds of lives it cost to realize that their substandard upgrades weren't good. Shame on Boeing and the executives who greenlit the disaster that is the 737 MAX. You are murderers
They’re nuts if they think the public has any intention of getting on one of those planes. Boeing screwed themselves being big corporate money mongers.
I’m not going to ride in one. Just not worth it.
Just roll out the 737 after max and scrap that pile of bolts...
If 65% of Boeing components are Made in China, using low quality and thin steele, hopeless
Making a mental note: Do not 737.
