Numerous studies assert that airplanes, equipped with new air filtration systems, are safe to fly on. Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun breaks down the safety measures his company and others are taking to ensure safe flights during the coronavirus pandemic.

Boeing's CEO, Dave Calhoun, reiterated expectations that regulators would soonon the 737 Max, a grounding that was put in place in March 2019 after two fatal crashes killed 346 people.

Boeing is aiming to turn cash flow positive late next year but the outlook is making that less likely. The company reported negative free cash flow of $5.08 billion, better than analysts' estimates and than the previous quarter's negative $5.6 billion, according to FactSet. About 19,000 employees are leaving Boeing this year, but the company is adding some jobs in its more stable defense unit.

Boeing has slashed production rates and targets as demand has dropped. Earlier this month, it announced it wouldof its 787 Dreamliner, a wide-body plane used mostly for international routes, at a single facility in North Charleston, South Carolina, instead of operating lines there and in the Seattle area.

You are missing the point. Even if air travel is 100% safe, if you are traveling for business or pleasure, how safe is the ride from the airport, the hotel you stay in, the office or entertainment you visit and the restaurant you eat and drink in. The flight is but a mere moment.

Even if that is true it doesn't help you in the crowded airports or the hotels or the other numerous people you are running into while traveling. For the love of god stay home unless it's absolutely necessary! A lot more people would be alive if everyone would.

Who would ever trust a thing Boeing has to say? How are those planes coming along?

I'll wait for independent publicly funded scientific verification, thanks.

Like the 737 MAX? Boeing has a huge credibility gap.

If this was even close to being true, every club, bar and restaurant would be installing the same systems

This is nonsense, many people come down with colds, influenza after taking a flight never mind catching Covid-19.

Is that the same CEO that claimed his 737's were safe to fly on?
