Boeing told officials with the Federal Aviation Administration that certain parts on its grounded 737 Max passenger planes may have been improperly manufactured, the administration revealed.

One part in particular, the leading edge slat tracks, may have been improperly manufactured and may not meet all applicable regulatory requirements for strength and durability, according to the FAA statement. Boeing said it contacted all 737 operators and told them to inspect the slat track assemblies on certain airplanes.

So corrupt....hopefully they are held fully accountable.

This is sensationalized--it affects a few of their NG 737s as well. They reported it and are fixing it. Please try to be more responsible.

wonderful

Boeing has not been a straight shooter for decades and it appears they are trying to divert attention away from other manufacturing improprieties, otherwise why Boeing have made such an admission to the FAA?

Ya think

aren't all these admissions by Boeing paving the way for a big lawsuit?

Gambling with people's lives to make dollars. That's so sad!

The parts were probably contracted out to cheap labour in another Country.

And the chances that they didn't know that from the beginning and still let the death PLANES fly is SLIM TO NONE ✈✈✈

I guess this coming out on a Sunday night means they don't want this publicized too much. Horrible.

This is yet another example of the FAANews not doing their job. Hey are a regulator and should act as one.

Boeing is illustrating one of the dangers of allowing one company to dominate its industry. It gets complacent, greedy and arrogant.

The CEO needs to be fired. This is insanely irresponsible.
