Boeing has approximately 160,000 employees worldwide, but the payroll cuts are likely to focus on the commercial airplane division, which is facing major financial pressure. Even before Boeing shut down all of its plants due to the COVID-19 outbreak, it had suspended production at its Renton, Washington plant where the 737 Max is manufactured. On Wednesday, Boeing's rival Airbus said it will cut commercial airplane production by a third due to an expected drop in demand for new planes as airlines around the world are expected to defer or cancel orders.

I'm gunna go head and guess it's not coming out of the corporate bonuses.

LET THE CEO, CFO,and the REST OF THE BOARD CUT THEIR SALARY. Don't forget their stock options....

because the planes that they were making were already sooo good. 🙄

This is one of those shitty companies that needs to hurry up and die so it can be replaced with a more efficient, responsible version of itself. And if that doesn't happen, let the next one die too. Stop propping up shitty, zombie companies.
