Rory Angelotta, 43, was discovered near a residential neighborhood located in the town of Truckee, roughly 3 miles from the Northstar Ski Resort near Lake Tahoe, California, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday. Authorities said Angelotta may have been trying to make it to safety in the neighborhood after getting caught up in one of the storms that struck the area in December.
“It is possible Angelotta was attempting to find the neighborhood near Truckee when he succumbed to the elements,” authorities said,Friends had reported him missing shortly before 10 p.m. on Dec. 25 when he didn’t show up to Christmas dinner after telling them that he was going skiing.Authorities said Rory Angelotta may have been trying to make it to safety in the neighborhood after getting caught up in a storm.Rory Angelotta’s friends reported missing when he didn’t show up to Christmas dinner.
