“They’re criticizing me for it,” the billionaire told Gayle King. “They had a chance to go out and make a lot of money”

during his 2016 campaign; while the notion that self-funding a campaign automatically makes you a maverick may have worked on some of Trump’s core supporters, it didn’t pass muster with those outside his base. It seems equally unlikely that Bloomberg’s version of it will do much to allay his critics’ concerns here.

He added, “Lots of people can enter. If you wanted to enter and run for president of the United States, you could’ve done that. But don’t complain to me that you’re not in the race. It’s up to you.

for another old rich white guy to enter the 2020 race, and his remarks about his wealth, his record, and the field’s diversity will only reinforce the impression that he’s out of touch with much of his party.

This man should not be running for President! His $$$ has bought his candidacy. He offers nothing. I respected him once upon a time. That time has passed.

Being rich doesn’t mean you can’t be bought. Quite the opposite, it means that money is very important to you. The real question is what wouldn’t you do for money?

Bloomberg was so egotistical that he thought running for the 2020 Presidential election would save the Democrats! He could have used that money for helping the Democratic party, or charity!

Funny. I work a lot. Like a lot. Most of us non billionaires do. In fact, I would argue there’s a negative correlation between labor and income. I don’t assume I work harder than the person cleaning my office or serving my food. I know they work harder than me

With Bloomberg / Bloomie there is a difference. He did build his own business empire.

Seems just the right guy to lead America out of the Trump era. 🙄🙄

The jealousy theme is rampant in the billionaire/millionaire class, it’s how they explain peoples disdain of them. I would never aspire to be one of them and neither does presidentberniesanders

This ghoul deserves every bad thing that's ever happened to him in his life and more.

Like 4% of Democratic voters lined up behind this guy when he declared. He was a Republican in the 2000s.

Grotesque comment.

Spoken like a true sociopath

And this is exactly why we shouldn’t give billionaires even more power by electing them to office and letting them represent us. Where’s the sense in that?

Gayle King, friend of billionaire Oprah. Too fucking funny.

States’ Shift From Caucuses \n\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\tIs Challenge for Sanders, WarrenSen. Bernie Sanders excelled in 2016 by winning caucuses, which reward candidates who have organizing muscle and passionate fans. But that path won’t be so readily available in 2020—to Mr. Sanders or any other candidate. People have so much time to sit on roads and listen to trash? Which worthless country is that? 🤔 changing the rules again to get the left best hope out of the race for some swamp creature 🤪
