The San Jose mayor, a former prosecutor who ranks as one of the state’s most tech-savvy Democrats, will now serve as a plum endorsement and campaign counsel for the billionaire Democrat. Liccardo's endorsement boosts Bloomberg, who plans to sidestep early contests in Iowa and New Hampshire and invest his efforts — and millions of campaign cash — in Super Tuesday states, including California.
The San Jose mayor argues that Bloomberg, the newest Democrat to enter the presidential race, shares his experience as chief executive of a major U.S. city, where he has been called upon to tackle America’s toughest urban problems. “Mayors don’t have the luxury of hyperpartisan tongue-wagging,” Liccardo said in a statement to POLITICO. “They have to solve problems and get things done.’’
The former New York City mayor has campaigned in California before. But in a moment that's sure to be revived and used against him in the current race, he endorsed Republican Meg Whitman, a billionaire former eBay executive and centrist Republican, in her 2010 gubernatorial race against Democrat Jerry Brown.

I am very surprised by sliccardo's endorsement. To me it puts all of his cheerleading for Google at Diridon into perspective. It also raised further questions about his failure to disclose his house sale in Dec 2018. I suspect less to do with pragmatism but rather corruption

Well, I'm VoteBlueNoMatterWho2020 for President. But in California races I will at least have the luxury of saying I don't plan to EVER vote for Sam Liccardo. We have other good choices who aren't trying to buy the Presidency.
