In an interview with Xportsnews, the ladies of BLACKPINK introduced their upcoming full-length album “BORN PINK” which features title track “Shut Down,” their pre-release single “With the release of their second full album being so close, Jisoo excitedly shared, “As this is an album we worked on for a long time, I’m really excited and looking forward to it. As so many people liked and enjoyed our pre-release track ‘Pink Venom,’ we were also able to promote enjoyably and excitedly.

Jennie added, “More than anything, it was fun and reassuring to work with the YG producers who know us well. I feel incredibly satisfied because I think we filled [the album] with creations made while sharing musical synergy.” To introduce the title track, Jennie said, “‘Shut Down’ is a track that takes the consistent charisma BLACKPINK has shown so far to the next level. The combination of classic and trendy hip hop beats is memorable and it has the charm of feeling new while also being very catchy.”

Jisoo also teased their new music video saying, “The set and hip props that immediately make you think of ‘Shut Down’ as well as the styling for the overall powerful atmosphere suit the music so well. If you watch the music video closely, BLACKPINK’s existing hit songs will be hidden here and there. You’ll also be able to see us naturally acting within that so please look forward to it.
