BLACKPINK Become First Girl Group & Third K-Pop Act to Hit No. 1 on Artist 100 Chart

The set opens at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 110,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

BLACKPINK becomes the first all-female group to lead the Artist 100, dating to the chart's 2014 inception., which has ruled for 10 weeks, a record among duos or groups, and SuperM, which led for a week last year.BLACKPINK concurrently lands a pair of songs on the Billboard Hot 100:"Lovesick Girls" debuts at No. 59 and"Ice Cream," with Selena Gomez, ranks at No. 64 after debuting at No. 13, the act's best placement, last month.

As BTS ranks at No. 2 on the Artist 100, this week marks the first in which two K-pop acts have monopolized the chart's top two positions. BTS concurrently adds its second Hot 100 No. 1 via its Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo collaboration"Savage Love ," which bounds from No. 8 to the top sparked by new BTS remixes. The group also holds at No. 2 with its first leader,"Dynamite."
