“He clearly lacks the judgment and skill required to safely wield the power over life and death that Aurora’s leaders saw fit to give him,” the law firm said in a news release. The blind man told investigators he was walking his regular route when he heard gunshots and realized he’d been shot. He walked to the Denver Rescue Mission at 4600 E. 48th Ave. and sought help because he does not carry a phone.
