Cori Bush is the latest in a string of progressive candidates unseating deeply entrenched Democratic incumbents.

That means Bush will likely be the first Black woman to represent the state of Missouri in Congress.

Before Tuesday’s victory, Bush’s transformation from activist into a winning candidate took a few turns: She mounted an unsuccessful campaign for the state Senate in 2016 and ran for Congress in 2018, losing to Clay by 20 points. I’m good with this. The party needs a real major shakeup. Massive complacency, so there’s a whole lot of seat warmers. Constituents just ask, what have these lawmakers done for me, or the community in years? They can look up the answer. And time for term limits across the board.

Boston Globe columnist: Attacks on Black Lives Matter show ‘racism is Trump’s comfort food’Boston Globe columnist Renée Graham tells Ali Velshi Donald Trump’s recent attacks on Black Lives Matter protesters are a move of desperation because “he has nothing else to hang this campaign on.” Yamiche Alcindor, White House correspondent for PBS NewsHour, adds Donald Trump’s return to racist attacks may indicate he “is starting to acknowledge that he might lose” in November. Agree! Actually it's what he believes. Too many struggle to explain the obvious. Which has yielded escalating catastrophes. 4 + yrs & some still dont believe what has been witnessed by the world. This ain't Rocket Science. It's overt corruption by a corrupt party. So true. Four more years of Donald Trump and this administration should scare you to death. Because literally you won’t recognize this country if he wins. Vote him out and vote the Republican Senate out with very few exceptions. You can keep Mitch Romney.

How much money do states waste housing and feeding nonviolent drug offenders? And how many lives are ruined? All to give gov't 💵 to big businesses that run for profit prisons? It's cheaper and more humane to give free treatment to those that need it. natsfert 🤣😂🤣 Don't act like it was blm, we have been working years to get things passed. Lol 😆 🤣 lose the race bs already.
