'Birds of Prey' Star Ella Jay Basco Has Just Gotten Started

, and more with her parents when she was younger. Her uncle Dion Basco starred in the NBC showNickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Bringing to life Cassandra, Ella sees a couple of similarities with the character. They’re both super-energetic, independent, and a bit sassy. But she’s also quick to point out that she’s lucky enough to come from a big family, while her character, an orphan, isn’t as fortunate. Beyond acting, music has also been a huge part of Ella’s life. She got to be in the music video for Saweetie and GALXARA “Sway With Me” off the, where Ella got to sit in the back of a vintage yellow convertible screaming her head off and dancing.
