Under the bill, low-income students in Mexico who live within 45 miles of California's border would be able to attend community college in San Diego or Imperial County and pay in-state tuition fees.

The legislation also aims to expand existing programs between U.

S and Mexican colleges, like the partnership between Southwestern College and the University of Baja"Southwestern College is the cornerstone for affordable and accessible higher education opportunities in the South County" said Southwestern College Superintendent/President Dr. Mark Sanchez. "Expanding affordable access to low-income, binational students will make a significant contribution to our region’s binational workforce and economy.

Imagine if they lowered tuition for existing California residents To solve the water and housing crisis we need to import even more people to California LOL California needs to just make Mexico part of their state and be done with it.
