El cómico Bill Cosby se negó a declarar este viernes en el caso en su contra en el que se le acusa de agredir sexualmente a una niña de 15 años, Judy Huth, en la Mansión Playboy en el año 1974.

Por su parte, el equipo legal de Cosby aseguró en un comunicado que su nueva abogada principal, Jennifer Bonjean, pretende que el cómico “sea absuelto por completo” en este caso, según la cadena de televisión Fox News.

En 2018, el cómico fue sentenciado a prisión después de que un juez de Pensilvania lo encontrara culpable de un delito de abusos sexuales contra la canadiense Andrea Constand. Se convirtió en el primer famoso encarcelado en la era del “MeToo”.Sin embargo, la Corte Suprema de ese estado revocó esa condena en junio por un acuerdo civil previo que invalida el juicio y por el que Cosby, que reconoció los hechos, indemnizó a la víctima.

Más allá de su regreso a los escenarios, el cómico tratará de rentabilizar la atención mediática que ha recibido su caso con un libro, escrito por Frederick Williams, en el que narrará su paso por la cárcel, así como las estrategias utilizadas por sus abogados. El actor fue condenado en 2018 a un máximo de diez años de cárcel, de los que debía cumplir al menos tres, por haber agredido sexualmente a Constand, una de las más de sesenta mujeres que han denunciado al actor.
