The Confederates were treasonous, and they LOST. I fail to understand why, out of all of our amazing Generals throughout history, we are fighting to keep these bases named for the biggest failures. Seems like it would be much more honorable to change them to reflect strength.
Diverse heritage would include those that lost the war. We may not agree with them or their beliefs but, like it or not, they're part of our history. Call a spade a spade: we want to pretend we never had racism in our past. Instead of acknowledge it, the goal is to expunge it.
