Biden signs landmark, bipartisan gun violence bill: 'Lives will be saved'

Senator Chris Murphy, lawmaker from Sandy Hook district, pleads for gun control after Texas shooting

During an impassioned speech on the Senate floor Tuesday, Murphy said hearts in his state where 26 school children and educators were killed a decade ago are breaking for the families in Texas.that restricted peoples’ ability to carry concealed weapons. While the bill does not include tougher restrictions that Democrats have long championed, such as a ban on assault-type weapons and background checks for all gun transactions, it is the most impactful firearms violence measure from Congress since enacting a now-expired assault weapons ban in 1993."While this bill doesn’t do everything I want, it does include actions I’ve long called for that will save lives," Biden said.

Bc Dems do nothing but talk about it. What else do you expect from a guy that's been in DC for 57 yrs? You'd think that in 57 years, if he really wanted it, he would of fought for it but Dems are all about bullshit rhetoric.

However, much tougher measures wanted by Biden and other Democrats did not make it in— a ban on military style rifles often used by the lone gunmen who typically carrying out mass shootings. Also absent is a longtime push for mandatory background checks on all gun purchases.

Yeah if everyone is allowed to defend themselves by having guns.. let’s stop the black market first..
