President Joe Biden is planning a massive campaign to sell Americans on getting a coronavirus vaccine — just as soon as there are enough shots for everyone

“We have to have product available before we go out and encourage people to seek it,” said Mark Weber, the federal health official charged with crafting the government’s Covid-19 advertising campaign. “We’re not there yet.” Yet Biden’s health team instead has spent its first weeks pleading for patience as vaccine manufacturing slowly ramps up, delaying a concerted effort to reach those unsure of whether to get a shot or how. The distribution process so far has been rocky, with states complaining of severe shortfalls and difficulties tracking where the shots are going. Glitchy sign-up systems and canceled appointments have also generated early frustrations.

In press conferences and television appearances, Biden’s Covid-19 response team has advanced a tightly scripted message — focusing on the science behind vaccines developed in record time, while also stressing the challenge they face in boosting production and expanding distribution before the country is likely to see any measurable progress toward ending the pandemic.“This will not be easy,” said White House coronavirus coordinator Jeff Zients during a briefing this week.

Right? In some states 70 year olds with heart conditions have not received so much as a letter...

Ice cream will help. GetYourVaccine 💉🍦

Also, once they're readily available and it's possible to get an appointment, we need to stop worrying about the people who don't want a vaccine. They've made their choice; they have to live (or die) with it. The rest of us should be able to go back to some sense of normalcy.

People are stupid to believe anything this man says⁉️🇺🇸⁉️

Until they're readily available and until we don't have to spend hours and hours and hours and hours trying to schedule an appointment, they're wasting both time and money.

Not liking that “headline”. What’s wrong with not sounding like it’s NOT Biden’s fault that the previous admin didn’t order enough vaccine and lied about how many they had and probably, nefariously did something with some of what they did have

It’s part of the control plan disguised by healthcare

Approximately 20% of the population are kids and we have no vaccine for them. To get an overall rate of 75% vaccinated in the US, the adult vaccination rate would need to be 94%. Herd immunity is unrealistic this year unless we get a jab approved for kids.

BabyKillerBiden

Right now we have much more demand than we have supply. It is good plan for when demand inevitably goes down. The target still seems to be 75% of the population, which, I think, is almost unobtainable with the current number of people who are reluctant to get vaccinated.

Why? Make the COVID shot a social determinism thing. Smart un superstitious lives matter!

Not taking it

Honestly I want a vaccine there is no hesitation here. We just need more vaccines

I’ll get it....where is it...

Thank goodness for that last statement. Let's get it to those who want it before we start trying to convince those who don't want it.

Would be better off spending that 1 billion incentivizing everyone to take it. $100-$200 for each person that takes it.

I'll take one! I'm ready for things to get back to normal.

Most of us are convinced of the need to get vaccinated. Problem is, there is no vaccine available for most of us.
