SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Despite Joe Biden's weak polling in California, there’s a silver lining emerging for him in the biggest delegate prize on the board this week.
These “perfect” Democratic voters dropped from 57 percent turnout by this point in 2008 and 62 percent turnout in 2016 to 46 percent turnout so far this year, according to the data compiled and shared by Mitchell, vice president of Political Data Inc. That means Biden, coming off South Carolina, has more room to expand his support before Tuesday.
Experts are coalescing around a 10 million figure as the turnout for the presidential primary, up from the roughly 8.5 million in 2016. About 40 percent of Democrats expected to vote have so far turned in ballots. California will award 415 delegates, more than a fifth of the total needed to clinch the nomination.
Recent polls show Sanders averaging a massive 18 percent lead over a second-place Warren, with Biden running in third and averaging 11 percent, according to figures from Real Clear Politics.

California, like most states, is good news for everybody but Bernie. If current polling is correct, once again Bernie will fail to win a majority of the delegates, paving the way to a brokered convention where everybody except Bernie has a shot at the nomination.
Then will he drop out?
It is astounding to me how a man with such a terrible record (school segregation, pro-war, cutting social security), caught fabricating wacky stories, innapropriate behavior toward women, and in clear cognitive decline, is still a viable option for many.
Of course it is. He is buying everybody else out. Buttigieg is in negotiation, Amy May drop tomorrow, and he has a back done deal made with Warren.
Bernie will win 🏆 California.
