His symptoms will be treated supportively with oral hydration, acetaminophen, and the albuterol inhaler that he uses as needed.
Continuing symptoms are a runny nose and fatigue, an occasional"loose" cough, and a deeper voice. His pulse, blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen levels remain normal, per the letter. "As I stated previously, the president is fully vaccinated and twice boosted, so I anticipate that he will respond favorably, as most maximally protected patients do," the letter reads."There has been nothing in the course of his illness thus far which gives me cause to alter that initial expectation."The positive test was announced Thursday morning. The president was scheduled to deliver remarks on gun violence in Pennsylvania later that day.
