Beto O'Rourke and his three children watch as his wife, Amy, speaks as he officially launches his presidential campaign with a rally in El Paso on March 30.
O’Rourke has stopped joking about being an absentee father and regularly apologizing for benefiting from white male privilege. He has pushed back against assertions that he’s a blank slate who lacks experience and has added a “vision” section to his campaign website that includes many of his broad goals, including establishing a universal health-care system, increasing teacher pay, reducing the cost of higher education, reforming the criminal justice system and combating climate change.
“Well, I would put it differently,” O’Rourke said gently. “But, we’ve got our work cut out for us. Let’s be respectful of everyone.” While that sort of national exposure can help with fundraising and growing name recognition, O’Rourke’s campaign is hoping that his time is better spent personally meeting voters, who will then spread the word of his candidacy to their co-workers, relatives and friends. One aide noted that it’s easier to recruit a volunteer who has met the candidate than one who has simply seen him on television.
The campaign has announced state directors in Iowa and South Carolina, and it is expected to soon do so in New Hampshire and Nevada. In Iowa, O’Rourke now has 16 staffers, the Des Moines Register reported Wednesday, which is smaller than many Iowa teams, including that of former congressman John Delaney, who is far less known but has about 25 staffers in Iowa.
He takes money from oil interest groups..... He beholding to them now. Same with Corey Booker.
That’s just the thing about Beto. He can be whatever you pay him to be. He’s got No substance. Only thing he’s exceptional at is being mediocre.

Haha what a loser. Mayor Beto is next. Maybe....
Does this mean he will actually have to have a job now?

Without even clicking I could already tell this is a wpjenna piece. This chick has been bashing Beto from day 1. Pretty embarrassing. I went to her page and voila, she wrote it. True to form Jenna.
Good, because he was coming off as being on the autism spectrum and it wasn't a good look.
He made a mistake not running against Cornyn in Texas. A missed opportunity due to ego. Run mjhegar Run!
He wont make it in the primary.
Switching his style means he was never authentic to begin with. That's a heck no to Beto.
Just like how he changed his name? What else would you expect
Beto is a furry.
O’Rourke switched his style... because he’s dead in the water and sinking
Ow no!
I have followed BetoORourke since the Senate race! I’m not going to feed into your negativity and just let it all play out! But this article depicts him as incapable and he is anything but! Shame on you!
Swinging his wild autistic arms about while standing on various items isn’t working anymore?
As if his style were his problem...
He is welcome in the Warren White House anytime
We got excited that Beto wasn't Ted Cruz, but now he's running against 16 plus candidates that are not Ted Cruz.
Bye bye Beto. Just another fraud exposed. To the ash heap of history with you!
When you are nearly 50 years old but MSM keep calling you young.
Poor thing, I'm afraid he's gonna be worn 2 a frazzle b-4 this is done. He needs 2 slow down, take a breath and not try to tour every little town in America, in a short time.
The spotlight was only a candle flickering in the wind. The wind blew out that light long time ago.
Who cares. Go stand on more bars and restaurants.
Beto is toast
Never had a prayer.
Just a sign of lack of confidence. Can’t hold strong to your beliefs or what you stand for. We call this manipulation.
