LONDON — Bethany Williams has been named this year’s winner of the British Fashion Council and Vogue’s Designer Fashion Fund initiative.
“Bethany is an extraordinary talent who brings a depth to her process,” said Edward Enninful, British Vogue editor in chief and chair of the fashion fund’s judging committee. The judging committee included model Adut Akech; Matchesfashion global fashion officer Natalie Kingham, and Burberry chief marketing officer Rod Manley.
The rest of the shortlisted designers — including Alighieri, Asai, Chopova Lowena, Completedworks, E.L.V. Denim, Halpern, Kwaidan Editions, Olubiyi Thomas, Richard Malone and Supriya Lele — will be receiving full mentorship support via the BFC’s business support team.
