WASHINGTON/SACRAMENTO - Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders on Thursday unveiled a $16.3 trillion climate change strategy on a tour of northern California that included meeting families displaced by deadly wildfires and a rally in the state capital Sacramento.
Addressing about 5,000 people inside and outside the park, Sanders accused fossil fuel companies of being willing to destroy the planet for short-term profits. It bans the practice of fracking to extract natural gas and oil, the import and export of fossil fuels and sets a moratorium on nuclear power plant license renewals.
A Congressional resolution by that name was introduced by rising star Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Ed Markey, and calls for a 10-year, government-driven effort to decarbonize the economy through investments in clean energy, as well as social and economic justice programs.
Why do people vote for him. Seriously. He’s done nothing over his lifetime as a politician.

Granted, better than the $32 T one from AOC, but it would still wreck our economy. We would have to take in 34% more in tax revenue a year just to keep the deficit at current levels. Even if we took every dime the top 1% made ($431 T), it would barely cover a quarter of it.
