Sen. Sanders broke from Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, who in a recent interview suggested that passing a watered down version of 'Medicare for All' in a deeply divided Congress would still represent a major achievement for the Democratic Party's progressive wing.

Las Vegas Sen. Bernie Sanders on Tuesday night broke from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who in a recent interview suggested that passing a watered down version of"Medicare for All" in a deeply divided Congress would still represent a major achievement for the Democratic Party's progressive wing.

Asked about her comments by CNN's Anderson Cooper during a town hall in Las Vegas, Sanders gently disputed Ocasio-Cortez's framing of the situation, and argued that his legislation's four-year transition"is, in a sense, already a compromise.""I love Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She has done more in her first year in Congress to transform politics, to get young people involved, than any freshman member of Congress that I can remember," Sanders said.

The term “Socialism” invokes historical fears of failed economic systems, failed autocracies, and of mistreatment of populations. On the other hand “Social Democracy” is an evolutionary expression of enlightened capitalism coupled with worldwide successful social programs.

What they should do is pitch Medicare for all from birth to 18. Private, ACA exchanges, and public option to buy in from 18-55. At 55 back on Medicare. End a big chunk of a companies burden so they can pay higher wages and invest more. Minor tax increases but huge benefit.

She’s just being realistic. Americans have to be warmed up and brought along on such big changes because they don’t see the benefits yet. Republicans ran on repeal replace. People agreed up until they started to see the benefits of it and that slowed it down.

Funny when Elizabeth Warren said something similar way back in October all the far left socialist smeared her as a false progressive! Why does Bernie Sanders get a pass?

Obama had to fight tooth and nail to get what we got w/ ACA. There is a 0% chance we get MFA through the Senate even if Sanders wins. ZERO. We could get ACA 2, if Dems win enough seats, but MFA is simply not going to happen.

Oh I see what you're doing here, ÇŅŅ. A pinch of Machiavellian, divide et empera...

Gotta have the other hurt more than I do. Dysfunctional equation.

Commie vs. commie

AOC: pretty girl, cancerous mind. Sanders an old communist fool...they are quite the pair.

Conservatives the moment they see the acronym AOC

The Democrats surely have to get their house together.

Bernie tried his commie health care plan in Vermont. It failed because it was too damn expensive and the people did not want it. Not good for Vermont, not good for the US.

Even though I would never vote for Bernie, I feel sorry for him. He's been screwed twice by the prostitutes of our country. Hillary and now Bloomberg.

Love that she's getting tainted by Washington. What a fraud. 😆

Bernie is CRAAAAZY

Yeah, good. Ok
