Sen. Sanders dismissed concerns he could harm down ballot races, telling reporters: 'We're going to have to get young people a lot more involved in the political process and expand minority voting. And I think we have a campaign to do that.'

Bernie Sanders' growing lead is causing concern among some congressional Democrats who worry that if he is the nominee he could hurt the party's chances of winning back the Senate, and maybe even prevent them from keeping the

majority in the House. Sanders dismissed the concerns, telling reporters: "we're going to have to get young people a lot more involved in the political process and expand minority voting. And I think we have a campaign to do that."

At the expense of?

Don't want to take the chance of losing down ballots.

No you don’t Bernie

How about publicly supporting at least 14 Democrat Senate candidates so that his policies can have a chance of being enacted without everything being an Executive Order? How many of those has 45* scrapped? How many has he used against us?

Templeton808 He’s been spewing this same one-note bullshit for five years now. In the states that have voted thus far, it’s clear that he’s not driving new voter turnout at all. If this guy is the nominee, we’ll lose the presidency, house and senate. Bernie can’t be the nominee.

You nd more thn Democratic Young peple, who you can fool. The majrty of Peple are like me & I am not voting fr Bernie. So he cn tke my pvt insurance awy frm me. Raise my damn taxes to pay fr scciolist medcl care tht I don't want. I will vote Dem only on all down ballots.

This election is too important to nominate a candidate who will turn away independents and conservatives who would have voted for a Democrat. I know alot of people who will vote for Trump if Bernie is nominated, who would have voted Democratic.

By that logic, any candidate harms down-ballot races. but by All Rights, immoderate should have a harder time getting progressives to show up, then the other way around. We don't want you to just try, we want you to try hard.

We have a lot of speculation with this guy. Hopefully you can get this, hopefully you can get that. Everything is a risk. There is no momentum from anyone outside of the Bernie base and the more the media tries to force support, the harder the pushback. I don’t think they see it.

Where are Bernie’s get out the vote organizations? Where are his commercials anout getting out the vote? What are his policies addressing voter suppression? Does he have voter registration access at his rallies? Anywhere?

No more AOCs

Young and minority turnout is a pipe dream every election . It’s doesn’t happen. No reason to believe 2020 any different no matter the candidates. Just as repetitive as saying “this is most important election in our lifetime”.

Number of progressive candidates elected in House districts in 2016: Zero.

Actually everyone we speak to understands that promoting down ballot progressives is necessary to making this work.

The Democratic party really is, the Socialist Party. We've been saying that for 40 years and now it's finally come out of the closet. Deal with it, MSNBC. You've been supporting socialism for America.

MSNBC loves Trump and will attack Bernie every day ! MSNBC is corporate Republican owned

Any evidence that is happening? What has been the turnout rate so far for young voters?

Bernie is a pied piper making promises he can't keep

Doesn't answer the question.

And when are you going to start doing that, because so far I haven’t seen it. It’s not like you had 4 years to prepare for this. Bernie really has a “ check is in the mail “ kind of campaign.

Sanders is the Kremlin Kiss of Death. DefendOurDemocracy NeverBernie

Sure, let's stake our future on the most unreliable voting block, young people.

He doesn't care. He wants to win. Hillary beat him. He's just like trump..if someone beats him..he must win next time..whatever.

Bernie Sanders is Having a Very Good WeekI can’t imagine anyone who is running for political office of any kind, but especially someone running to be the nominee for president for a political party, ever sits down and thinks, wow, that was a good week. Not only are you staving off attacks from the opposing party, but you’re also dealing with internal battles as you struggle to emerge as your party’s most viable candidate.\n
