Kosar, 59, placed the first legal sports bet in Ohio, according to his Twitter, wagering $19,000 on the Browns to win, and promised to donate the money to charity if he won. But it may have cost him, as Cleveland.com reported on Sunday that the bet is connected to Kosar losing his job with the Browns – which included serving as a team ambassador and appearing on their in-house radio shows.
I don’t understand why they fired him for that. I don’t like that it’s legal in Ohio, but it is legal now so he didn’t do anything wrong according to the law. I know I’m biased because Kosar is my favorite football player of all time, but still….

Why does the NFL partner with gambling entities and then penalize people associated with the league for gambling? Kosar is a radio host - who gives a shit if he gambles?
