Beam him down, Scotty: George Takei isn't impressed by William Shatner's space trip

William Shatner’s trip to space at age 90 reawakens dreams for older folks, and young ones too, about venturing toward the final frontier.of being “very self-centered” and has publicly bickered with his former co-star for years. In his 1994 biography, “To the Stars,” Takei accused Shatner of ignoring him on the “Star Trek” set and changing the script for “Star Trek V” so his character wouldn’t take command of a spaceship.

Shatner has said he pities Takei and has claimed that “there’s a psychosis there” when it comes to Takei and that there’s something “festering” in the actor. In his 2011 memoir, “Shatner Rules,” he said that their discord was a result of Takei’s unwillingness to play second fiddle on the show.

Looks like the Shat kicked George and William right in their aspirations! “there’s a psychosis there … There must be something else inside George that is festering, and it makes him unhappy that he takes it out on me…I feel nothing but pity for him.”

Who cares?

Just another sign of the times and the state of our media. Major US media outlet chooses to write a divisive story for clicks and likes. Takei can have his opinion, but had a choice in featuring it.

Why does it need to impress him?

Sad to see. Shatner took some serious personal risks going into space. There were a hundred things that could have resulted in his death. He was brave. It's easy to throw shade at others. Takei is better than this.

Sorry, but getting to space is kinda cool. GeorgeTakei seems more bitter than anything on this one, and I am a fan.

Ok, Shatner isn´t the best person ever. But this seems the reaction of a sad petty man
