Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Warning! Contains Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham #1 spoilers! The best new Batman story of 2023 has just been released with the debut of Rafael Grampá's new DC Black Label comic, Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham #1. The hotly anticipated series gives fans an unexpected Gotham and a brutal, but brilliant character examination of the Dark Knight.

This dark, strange Batman story was first hinted at in Dark Crisis: The Big Bang #1, during the Flash's exploration of the restructured DC multiverse. Barry Allen's sojourn across the various worlds led him to discover Earth-46, the home of a "grim young Batman with a unique, unrecognizable rogues' gallery", as seen in the series Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham.

Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham #1 is Bold, Brutal, and Brilliant Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham #1 by Rafael Grampá with Mat Lopes takes place in its own continuity: A much more bleak and unforgiving version of Gotham where the worst sorts of crime are woefully commonplace. Standing against it all is Batman, of course, but one who's burning in anger at the torment his city is suffering from.

Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham #1 is an intense story, to say the least. Grampá doesn't hold back in crafting a Gotham that feels dirtier, grimier, and even sicker than how the notorious city is usually presented. Nothing showcases just how wrong this world is better than the new Batman villain Crytoon, who tuns iconic cartoon antics such as falling anvils into despicable and grotesque attacks.

Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham #1 is Hero at His Finest While there's no shortage of Batman comics to choose from at the moment, Rafael Grampá knocks it out of the park with his story. It's dark, it's moody, and it's quite shocking at moments. But it also has tons of thrills and action-packed scenes that will have fans admiring the stunning artwork and brilliant twists and turns.
