Former President Barack Obama revealed on Sunday afternoon that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

"I've had a scratchy throat for a couple days, but am feeling fine otherwise," Obama said in a statement on Twitter, adding that he and his wife, Michelle, were"grateful to be vaccinated and boosted.""It's a reminder to get vaccinated if you haven't already, even as cases go down," Obama said.

A source close to Obama said that the former president had tested positive in Washington, D.C., after spending a fair amount of time in Hawaii over the winter, CNN reported.
