Banksy says it with flowers.

Anonymous street artist Banksy left a Valentine’s Day gift on the side of a house in his Bristol, England hometown on Thursday: a 3-D work of art depicting a young girl firing a slingshot of red flowers — and the locals love it.

Today in Barton Hill, we woke up with this remarkable mural art painted on one of the houses of the area.Come and have a look yourself. Whoever painted, it’s worth admiring their creativity.— Bristol Somali Community Association February 13, 2020 “There’s so many people coming and enjoying it, taking pictures, it’s fantastic,” added Woodruff. “It’s incredible and beautiful.”

The family is trying to cover up the artwork with glass to preserve it, as some of the flowers that had been left on the Marsh Lane sign below it have already been stolen. They are also concerned about approaching Storm Dennis washing away the work. But the piece on #BartonHill is being protected!#Banksy #BristolStreetArt pic.twitter.com/wND9N5IQtJ

And one of his most famous works, “Girl With Balloon,” was the subject of an elaborate prank by the artist in October 2018. The piece, which shows a black-and-white girl either reaching for or letting go of a red, heart-shaped balloon, had just been sold for $1.4 million at auction at Sotheby’s when it self-destructed courtesy of a remote-controlled shredder that had been built inside the frame.
