Shouldn’t we let the doctors and families make these decisions instead of old rich politicians who don’t know a single thing about these people?
Considering that a gender affirming surgery would cost over $100,000 out of pocket, I’m curious to know how many minors have had this surgery. Also considering that all gender affirming medications are completely reversible, is this really a problem affecting our society?

IMHO the minimum age ought to be 21, but really, what we're seeing (after the fact) tells us that the kids aren't snapping out of it until their late twenties. By then, of course, the damage has been done. 'Gender affirming' mutilation is exactly that: mutilation. BenWinslow Parents and doctors should be making the final decision for minors, not utpols. BenWinslow So, no more surgery on intersex babies to make them conform to a particular gender? Good. No more boob jobs on teen girls? I don't approve, but I think it's up to her and her parents.
