) -- The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on Sunday that 18 people people were shot during the May Day event in Stockton on Saturday.The BCSO said approximately 1,000 people were in attendance when an argument took place and at least one subject fired multiple shots into the crowd.
Authorities said they believe there may have been more shooters and they are following up on those leads. Andre Reid with the Baldwin County Investigation Division described the age range of the victims as mostly “younger people.”He said said investigators believe they have one suspect identified. According to Reid, there was at least one other shooter but investigators are not certain about that person’s involvement.Investigators continue to try to track down some of the people believed to be involved. in the incident that happened near Bryant’s Landing.
