At least 18 shot, 4 killed in weekend gun violence across city, Chicago police say

ABC7 Chicago Digital TeamThe shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. at the 5200- block of South Central Avenue near 52nd Street, a few blocks from Midway airport.A man was critically injured in a shooting in Greater Grand Crossing on Sunday afternoon.

The 27-year-old man was in the alley when a black truck drove up, and an unknown number of people inside started to shoot at the man.No one is in custody, Area One detectives are investigating.on Sunday morning, Chicago police said. A 16-year-old boy was outside when he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said. The teen, shot in his knee, was transported to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition.Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.Chicago police said the men were in a parking lot when someone shot them.
