If a sprinter wins the gold medal but is caught cheating, the gold medal is stripped. Major League Basball MUST strip the Astros of their title to save the integrity of the game.

It's math. They know the problem is wide spread. If they set the precedent of suspending players and 5-10 teams get implicated in the next 2 years, they end up suspending 1/3rd of the major league. That hurts the product more than the crime.
I can appreciate the MLB wanting a relatively quick investigation and player honesty. However, surely, players knew this was wrong in the moment. I believe this is a sad time for children who unfortunately continuously see adults making unethical decisions.
Players, coaches and owners should all be in deep shit. But, it’s all about the money. Protect the brand that has been flailing.
