An artist’s representation is cool n all that but it’s not the picture and that feels rather manipulative. Show the real not the ideal.

The 2019 Blackhole image is a masterclass in data fabrication. No way 6 pixels could show what they claim.

I would say since this story is only available behind New scientists paywall and not available anywhere else. That it should be taken with a grain of salt. Especially since the scientists questioning it haven’t been publicly revealed and neither have their alternative.
It’s definitely not accurate. It’s an attempt to make sense of something not understood.
