The use of public sports facilities is banned amid social distancing rules at a park in Seoul, South Korea, Friday, Dec. 11, 2020. South Korea is expanding the use of rapid tests and deploying hundreds of police officers and soldiers to help with contact tracing as it deals with its worst surge of coronavirus cases since the early days of the pandemic.
Nearly 680 of the new cases came from the densely populated Seoul metropolitan area, where health workers have struggled to track transmissions popping up from just about everywhere, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, restaurants, saunas, schools and army units.Infections were also reported in other major urban centers, including Busan, Gwangju, Daejeon, Ulsan and Daegu, a southeastern city that was the epicenter of the spring outbreak.
Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun said South Korea may have to elevate social distancing restrictions to the highest level, which includes a ban on gatherings of more than 10 people, school closures, a halt to to professional sports and requiring companies to have most of their employees work from home. From Monday, rapid antigen tests at emergency rooms, intensive care units and remote hospitals will be covered by the national health insurance, which would cost recipients about 8,000 won each.

Sad
Anyone wondering on the picture reference. These are part of a typical outside exercise system setup for Koreans that many mainly older people use and are lined up in a relay type system for users to go from one to another.
Meanwhile in the US 230,000 cases....!!!
Gosh, I guess life finds a way.
Half of Ontario 🇨🇦's daily rate, I know them feels
Who the fuck cares. 950 people who have a 99.99% chance of surviving. What is that, .09 people? .09 people might die? Thats your news? More CCP propaganda. This is why no one watches or reads legacy media and only engage to mock you.
S Korea was doing well until they started copying the U.S.
The no maskers : they live on a peninsula so they can control travel better than we can
All those people who lauded S. Korea for their control of CV, read this. Mind you, the numbers are odd. How could such a small number threaten to overload a health system used to dealing with respiratory diseases? Perhaps a case in S. Korea is the same as an ICU admission here?
Chuckles in American.
Nobody cares anymore
Weak, not even 950 deaths in 8 hours.
Glad I live in America. The greatest and oldest country in the world.
God damn. It was only about 80 a day around the time I moved back to America.
