Star Wars: The Bad Batch Hints Asajj Ventress Is Still On A Redemption Path On The Lighter Side With Some Lingering Darkness Having begun a path toward redemption in Dark Disciple, it seems as though Ventress is continuing to walk down that same path in The Bad Batch season 3, episode 9. For example, Ventress does express elements of light by not killing the monstrous sea creature known as a vrathean when it attacks Omega and herself.

Originally belonging to Jedi Temple guards, yellow is a far rarer kyber color compared to the blue and green that's far more predominant among the ranks of the Jedi Order. As such, the yellow color helps signify Ventress as a Force user beyond the Jedi and Sith. To that end, the same is likely true for Rey Skywalker and her own yellow-bladed lightsaber, a visual cue that her New Jedi Order will be different and likely an improvement over the Order that came before in the Star Wars timeline.
